“Wreck-It Ralph” Wins Annie Awards for Best Animated Feature, Best Director

The 40th Annual Annie Awards were given out this past Saturday, with Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph winning the Best Animated Feature award and its director Rich Moore winning the award for Directing in an Animated Feature Production. Other winners include Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem in the Best Animated Special Production category, Disney’s “Paperman” for Best Animated Short Subject, Nickelodeon’s Bubble Guppies “A Tooth on the Looth” for Best Animated TV Production for Preschool Children, DreamWorks Animation’s Dragons: Riders of Berk “How to Pick Your Dragon” for Best Animated TV Production for Children, Stoopid Buddy Studios’ Robot Chicken “DC Comics Special” for Best General Audience Animated Television Production, and Timothy Reckart’s “Head Over Heels” for Best Student Film. Kristen Schaal’s performance as Mabel in Disney’s Gravity Falls “Tourist Trapped” won the award for Best Voice Acting in an Animated Television production, while Alan Tudyk took the comparable award for Animated Features for his role as King Candy in Wreck-It Ralph.
