The Hollywood Reporter has talked with voice actor Rob Paulsen about his battle with throat cancer, which was diagnosed in 2016 during his annual physical and led him through seven weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatments which caused him to lose 50 pounds, as well as the function of his salivary glands and the ability to taste food. Obviously, the diagnosis and treatment were deeply frightening to a voiceover actor, but fortunately his post-treatment voice is as good as ever and his various roles on different projects at DreamWorks, Disney, and Nickelodeon were not recast while he was out of commission.

Shares the above with a beautiful, wonderful, and incredibly understanding wife named Frances (who, thankfully, participates in most of my silly hobbies) and a large furry dog named Brownie (who, sadly, does not).
