Game Awards Bombshells: Bayonetta 3, Soul Calibur 6 And More

by on December 8, 2017

How many amazing trailers can The Game Awards give us in one night? Collected below are some of the most surprising, interesting and gratifying trailers of the evening….which game are you looking forward to most?

One major request from Nintendo fans to Sega was for a Switch port of Bayonetta 2. It was an incredible game and the rare sequel that managed to match (and some would argue beat) the original, but since it was on the Wii U, not many people got to experience it. Today Bayo freaks not only got their port wish granted (it is coming February) but confirmation that a third Bayonetta is on its way!

After a long absence, Namco’s beloved fighting series Soul Calibur has returned! Game #6 is coming to Playstation 4, XBox One and PC in 2018.

Nintendo decided to give us the second DLC addition to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild….NOW! It was promised before the end of the year, but after silence on Champion’s Ballad for months, getting it out of nowhere is quite the shock. It was well-timed anyway….Breath of the Wild took home this year’s Game of the Year award.

Rare’s Sea of Thieves delivers something we thought they’d never be capable of — a release date! Expect the open-world swashbuckling sim to invade the XBox One March 20.

It’s been a book and it’s been a movie….now World War Z will be a video game. Developed by Saber Interactive, it’s a four-player co-op action title set in varying locations around the world.

Rick & Morty creator Justin Roiland is working on a VR game for Playstation entitled Accounting +. As the name suggests, the game is about accounting, plus more. View the trailer to see the “more.”

This is Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, and….we’re not even gonna try. Just know that it makes even less sense than Accounting +.
