According to an article on Nintendo Everything, Tatsumi Kimishima will be stepping down as President of Nintendo on June 28th, though he'll continue to be an advisor. The new president will be Shuntaro Furukawa, who was "Nintendo’s Managing Executive Officer, Supervisor of Corporate Analysis & Administration Division and Director".

Of note is a series of posts by a user named "Fandangle", who's concerns, while valid, ultimately add up to little more than, "oh no, the next president isn't another Iwata who was a developer and gamer, therefore the company is doomed".

(sigh) And people think I don't give certain things an even break...

Personally, I'll say that I do hope that Mr. Kimishima knows what he's doing, and that this new president doesn't do anything crazy. In other words, I sincerely hope that Mr. Kimishima made the right choice.
