I thought that this episode was okay. It was nice to see the Team Skull grunts again, even if the battle was relatively quick and just to set up the conflict later on in the episode. The whole notion of Ash and his friends having a real life work experience just seemed really weird. It is one of the few times where the Pokemon School does something that a regular school would do, but it's just weird since no one in this series ages. Not to mention I'm not sure what Ash really gets from having a real life work experience day when his goal is to become a Pokemon Master. But then that also brings up the issue of what Ash gets from being in the Pokemon School in the first place.

It was nice that they wanted to help out the sick Nurse Joy for the day. They really like having Ash cross dress in nearly every series, but it was strange how the girls were totally into putting make up on him like he was a doll. It was nice to see them taking care of different Pokemon and delivering medicine. Ash and Kiawe even ran into James without realizing it. We don't really see the Team Rocket trio separated from each other, so that was different.

It was nice that Ash wanted to help out the Team Skull grunt with his Garbordor. It was a big job getting all of that poison out and even another Nurse Joy showed up. Since they don't leave Melemele Island too often, I guess it isn't too much of a stretch whenever the characters are shocked to see identical Nurse Joys. Even though the grunt didn't want to listen, he did end up getting the cleaning tool he needed for his Garbordor, which showed that he does care about his Pokemon. Overall, it was an okay episode.
