So ratings were down for it on Nick? Or on all the platforms? The premiere aired on three different channels, and released on the app at the same time, the viewership is fragmented but that should be taken into account.
It should also be taken into account that Hey Arnold is an old cartoon that Nick’s current audience is not familiar with. It would’ve been nice if the main Nick channel aired a marathon beforehand, as that could’ve helped.
This doesn’t bode well for the Rocko’s Static Cling. Invader Zim might perform well. Unike Rocko and HA!, Invader Zim is a moderately lucrative series, in the form of merchandise sold. It also stays in the niche audiences consciousness by having an ongoing comic series (and a well received one at that!).

All in all, this is a sign to media companies on how they need to be careful when it comes to appealing to nostalgia and older fans. Animation is an expensive process, so they’ll think twice in investing in projects like this again. Maybe doing comics or graphic novels will be better.

Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie is said to be airing again on December 27th on Nicktoons. Of course that could change, but I did manage to catch the showing of TJM on Nicktoons earlier this month, so it might not change, but at the same time it might.

If they actually do air TJM on December 27th, that will mean that this movie has been played more than the Double Dare Reunion Special and The Legends of The Hidden Temple movie. Unlike those two movies/specials, this is actually getting a DVD Release with Special Features and so far, it hasn't been cancelled. So far, it seems like Nickelodeon is giving The Jungle Movie better treatment than the other 2 revival movies/specials

Let's hope that Nickelodeon at least gives out a marathon for both Rocko and Zim. The Hey Arnold! Jungle Movie would have done better if Nickelodeon had just reran the show on its network before showing the movie, so that way, the newer viewers would at least be introduced to the series beforehand.

I'm still skeptical about the ratings being bad, because I feel like if they were bad the encores wouldn't be happening and the international/Canadian airings wouldn't be announced so soon like they have been (not to mention the home video release). Nobody really knows what Nick expected of it and Craig certainly can't say anything because there could be NDAs on anything even remotely related to future productions he'd be involved with.

I still think that having over a million views is pretty good for the Hey Arnold! Jungle Movie, even if it didn't meet 2 million viewers. That's probably why they are still showing reruns of the Jungle Movie because it still managed to get over 1 million views. Or it could be because Nickelodeon is still trying to get more people to watch the movie.

They're only showing reruns on Nicktoons and NickSplat, but not Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon not even once are showing any encore after premiere after all.

Oh, that changes everything then. I do wonder what the numbers for NickSplat and Nick at Nite are in order for a show to be successful. Maybe the reason why the Hey Arnold! Jungle Movie is constantly showing on NickSplat and Nick at Nite is because it did well on those blocks, but I don't know what the goal numbers are for those blocks.

Nick at Nite isn't getting most airings (I'm not counting for premiere) on The Jungle Movie. Only NickSplat is

NickSplat's showing the movie again on New Year's Day, zap2it shows it at 12:03am and then that night at 11:00pm.

I watched the movie again yesterday on Nicktoons for a 3rd time. Still a great movie that still puts me on the edge of my seat. I'm excited for the DVD Release in February 2018. I am going to pick it up day 1. This movie was a lot better than Hey Arnold!: The Movie, even though I do enjoy that movie as well

Over 2 million would've been great but for cable nowadays the ratings it got were solid. It's outperformed just about all of their premieres since. Nick could've aired some original episodes on the main channel in the month or week leading up to the movie- like maybe doing a Throwback Thursday night from 8-10pm et instead of the movie with Helga on the Couch, Parent's Day, and The Journal airing Thanksgiving night, but who knows how much that would've helped. At least it has had reruns even if not on the main network and it's still being seen in their social media posts and it's advertising the international airings and DVD release.

Australia is also getting a theatrical screening of the movie, lucky them.
