We never said anything about "tasty fakes," but you're wrong about Disney Channel Canada launching in 1996. It actually launched in 2015 by Corus Entertainment.

Well, I think the channel that actually launched in 2015 by Corus Entertainment's just a "tasty newbrand new" version of the original! And you'd never heard about Playhouse Disney Canada! It was launched at Christmas 1998! ALL OF YOU have no taste!

I am aware that Playhouse Disney did exist in Canada for a while before rebranding to Disney Junior (a bit unsure of when it actually launched though). I can't find anything about Disney Channel existing in Canada in 1996. Are you sure?

He's lying. There was no Disney Channel Canada before 2015.

Given that various European Disney Junior feeds' schedules have been unified recently, I'd like to remind about the earlier schedule unification in history of international Disney channels:

In January 2005 DC Scandinavia (managed by a team in London) and DC Middle East (which until then was managed by Disney Channel Asia in Singapore) have unified their schedule (or more exactly the latter feed adopted the former's schedule). That wasn't the only change - the prints used by DC Scandinavia were updated to include on-screen Arabic dub credits. As DC MENA before the merger broadcasted 24-hours while DC Scandinavia broadcasted only between 06:00-22:00 CET, the new MENA feed's 22:00-06:00 schedule was the rerun of 06:00-13:55 schedule (without any movies on weekends).

Shows that left DC Scandinavia's schedule in January 2005: Troll Tales, Hercules, Pepper Ann, Pettson and Findus, Dinosaurs

Here's the Disney Channel Scandinavia/Middle East schedule for January 2005 (effective Monday, 3rd January, 2005) - most of this is based on schedule in Infomedia archival sites on Web Archive:
all times in CET and KSA

You may already know, but between September 1999 and August 2006, Playhouse Disney had in-vision continuity segments presented by Dave Benson Phillips and Alex Lovell, who were referred to as 'Big Dave' and 'Little Alex'. In that schedule from 2001, 'Circle Time' was a story-telling segment presented by Jason Canning, 'Bite Size' was a cooking show presented by Dave Benson Phillips, 'Art Play' was an art segment presented by Sara Louise Harper and 'Music Time' was a segment where either Big Dave or Little Alex would sing a classic Disney song. I've recently found a Playhouse Disney schedule from August 2006. If you click on the bar labelled '2006' on that Wayback link you sent me, then click on August 22nd 2006, you'll find it

Does anyone think that Big Dave and Little Alex left shortly after the day this schedule was published?

I believe they left when the 2007 rebrand started.

Why do you think Disney got rid of in-vision continuity in 2007?
