    Bruce Wayne's cousin? Okayyy.....

I guess I should probably not expect a mention of their other cousin Kate Kane (Batwoman)...

Or brother Thomas Wayne, Jr. or Uncle Philip or Aunt Agatha.

Hilariously enough, some raging YouTuber in the comments thought Vanessa Hudges's lead character was the cousin and went on a rant about "the sudden abundance of superheroes getting female cousins (ex: Supergirl), with or without powers".

Still, I find it kind of odd that they make a new character in Batman's supporting cast when it's already filled to the brim with underrated ones. If Alan Tuydk's character is going to retain the "secret villain in the organization" of the pilot's version (where he played Del Heller), making him Lincoln March/Thomas Wayne Jr. would have been preferable. Heck, they could have made Lucius Fox a recurring figurehead.

Update: But, perhaps the creative team actually dug into their obscure Batman lore and picked Vanderveer Wayne from Earth One. Comic books have weird family trees.

I'll admit, this was the last series I expected to see a giant CG Starro pop up .

1/18: I was thinking Legends of Tomorrow last scene of season 3. :p

EDIT: Showrunner confirms that the show is in its own universe separate from the other live action stuff out there.

1/20: Clips and stills for the first episode released.

    1/22: Another clip

A separate universe from the others. Ok, I can go along with that. This will give DC/WB a grand total of 8 shows across three networks, assuming, of course, that Powerless is still on the air when iZombie returns in April to relieve Legends of Tomorrow for the spring & summer. Ya just never know.
