Although it looks good enough for preschoolers, I probably wouldn't watch it. The fact Tom Warburton is involved is intriguing but not enough to get me excited for it. I dont really have much nostalgia for the original and I don't watch preschool shows.

I suppose someone should change the title to "Muppet Babies (2018): News and Discussion".

Makes sense the show is going to be on Disney Junior, I think that will be good with Tom Warburton being around the shows production.

That's great that it is official. I hope it goes well.

It took me a moment to recognize Tom Warburton. I wasn't a big fan of KND, but I could see his talents working nicely with a Muppet Babies revival.

I just hope it doesn't focus too much on "baby versions of Muppets" jokes. Then again, there is a chance (repeat: a chance) that this show could end up invoking the "Grandfather Clause" trope, but we'll see.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Disney doesn't own Ghostbusters or Pee-Wee's Playhouse, or Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous (documentary show about how famous celebrities live), or Star Search (TV talent show), or The Tonight Show, etc., etc., etc., and there's no way Columbia is going to give up Ghostbusters. Furthermore, they would also have to license Sesame Street, since Disney doesn't own that one (even if Kermit the Frog regularly appears on that show). So, unfortunately, it's not likely we'll see any re-release of the original show for quite a while on DVD or digital (IMO: we're more likely to get the remaining seasons of The Muppet Show, since there are no longer any issues with the Star Wars episode)...

I don't know if Frank Welker would reprise the role of Kermit from the 80's cartoon or not, but I would feel comfortable with Russi Taylor reprising Piggy and Gonzo.

Laurie O'Brien was the voice of Piggy.

I just hope it'll be as fun as the original. The Muppet Babies was one of my favorite cartoons when I was young.

    http://warburtonlabs.blogspot.com/2017/02/original-muppet-babies-cels.html

This isn’t exactly news about when the show will come out, but Tom Warburton moved into a new office, and was given some stuff to hang on the bare walls, some of which include cels from the original Muppet Babies, and some prints. That should get those creative juices flowing.

This article from his website also mentions that they’ve been working on the project since summer.

The assistant art director for the series is Megan Phonesavanh, who also worked on Star Darlings.

Jina Noh is the storyboard revisionist for the series. Sorry for the double post by the way.
