So, I bet the's a lot of Mel Blanc fans like me here, so I figured maybe you guy could help me with this one:

Numerous different sites/cast listing online claim that Mel Blanc himself originally voiced Gus Goose, Donald Duck's cousin from the 1939 short "Donald's Cousin Gus". Some say that in an interview that Blanc once gave, he told more about the role, and Blanc said he gave Gus the voice of a "big dumb swedish goose", but it was ultimately decided by walt to make Gus a mute character, and Mel's recordings were never used. Does anyone know whether this is true, and in which interview Mel said this?
