One of the most talked about artists for the past couple years will be releasing her second LP this year.

Called Born This Way, its slated to be released May 23rd. The title track is also the first single and the music video was officially released today. Here is the link to it.

The second single is called "Judas" and will be released before the album comes out.

Discuss your thoughts about the upcoming album and share information when it becomes available.

Here's the official music video for Born This Way from Lady Gaga's Vevo. Go watch it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV1FrqwZyKw

The cosmological intro was a little long, but I did like the birthing effects, the 80s video effects (sparkle unicorn!), Gaga's near nudity, Gaga's proving crotch grabs aren't just for Michael Jackson, and the dancing. Also, she looks fine, man.

I may have said this before, but there's a reason I like Gaga. It's because this is the future. Seriously, this is 2011, the 21st century. Gaga is the first mainstream pop star I've seen in a long time who is weird and different enough to legitimately come from our current science fiction age. Everybody else would fit just fine at the 1990 Grammys.

What's that music at the start from? Star Wars? Superman?

Not a huge Lady Gaga fan, but lately I've started listening to more of her stuff. I heard "Born this Way" at the Grammys and I thought it was really good. Seemed really derivitive of a Madonna song (The name escapes me). But I still liked it a lot. I'd be interested in hearing more of the album.

The name of the Madonna song you are looking for is "Express Yourself".

Didn't watch the music video, too long. Plus I'll end up seeing it on MTV/VH1 somewhere down the road. Writing my impressions as I listen.

I like the beat a lot (go figure, I love most of her 'beats'). I could see myself dancing to this song. Not now, it's close to one in the mornin', but y'know in a couple hours when I won't get railed at for jumping up and down.

This is one 'check' for Lady GaGa so far for her second album. Not her greatest, but decent. It just lacks... the 'oompf' some of her original songs had. Guess that's common on most second albums.

I thought the first two minutes was interesting, though, did feel like it belong in a movie and was a bit too long. Though, nothing will beat Telephone in that regard. Once the music kicked it, it was so beautiful. For some reason, I somehow imagined that the music video for this would have her in her underwear, but then again that is to be expected, along with her being naked for a small part of it as well. This might not be my favorite music video from her, but it's not my most hated, and I will watch it from time to time.

With music videos like this, and a song like this, Lady Gaga keeps growing into becoming my favorite musician that tops the Top 40 charts.

It lacks creativity. Gaga plays around with beats and tempo the way few others are trying to. "Bad Romance" was creative pop...this not so much.

Plus, don't know if it was intentional, but most people are pointing out the chorus is almost identical to "Express what he's got, like it ready or not!" (not verbatim) from Madonna's "Express Yourself." That, by the way, is my least favorite of all the Madonna songs in existence because of how badly it judges men...

Really? It's so catchy, though. And I don't think the message is that bad, it's basically about having self-respect and not letting a man who doesn't treat you well buy you with gifts.

That's not what I heard....to me she was saying if a girl's boyfriend doesn't completely worship her and do everything she says, he should be dumped.

No, no. You're being too literal and reading too much negativity into a song that's about self-respect. It's just telling women they shouldn't settle for a man that doesn't truly care about them. And that they especially shouldn't do it for superficial reasons like nice things or good sex.

There's no true call to make a man submissive, in fact she refers specifically to a "big strong hand." The reference to "he'll be back on his knees" is telling women that they are good enough that they don't have to try to hang on to a man out of fear. Again, self-respect is the theme.

    (Spoken)
    Come on girls
    Do you believe in love?
'Cause I got something to say about it
And it goes something like this

    Chorus:

Don't go for second best baby
Put your love to the test
You know, you know, you've got to
Make him express how he feels
And maybe then you'll know your love is real

    You don't need diamond rings
    Or eighteen karat gold
Fancy cars that go very fast
You know they never last, no, no
What you need is a big strong hand
To lift you to your higher ground
Make you feel like a queen on a throne
Make him love you till you can't come down
    [You'll never come down]

    (chorus)

Long stem roses are the way to your heart
But he needs to start with your head
    Satin sheets are very romantic
What happens when you're not in bed
You deserve the best in life
So if the time isn't right then move on
    Second best is never enough
You'll do much better baby on your own
    [Baby on your own]

    (chorus)

    Express yourself
    [You've got to make him]
    Express himself
    Hey, hey, hey, hey
So if you want it right now, make him show you how
Express what he's got, oh baby ready or not

    Intermediate:

And when you're gone he might regret it
Think about the love he once had
Try to carry on, but he just won't get it
He'll be back on his knees

    To express himself
    [You've got to make him]
    Express himself
    Hey hey

What you need is a big strong hand
To lift you to your higher ground
Make you feel like a queen on a throne
Make him love you till you can't come down
    [You'll never come down]

    (intermediate)

    So please

    (chorus)

    Express yourself
    [You've got to make him]
    Express himself
    Hey, hey, hey, hey
So if you want it right now, make him show you how
Express what he's got, oh baby ready or not
    Express yourself
    [You've got to make him]
    So you can respect yourself
    Hey, hey
So if you want it right now, then make him show you how
Express what he's got, oh baby ready or not

This was a nice single. I thought the beginning of the song was cool and so was the beat. Not a Lady Gaga fan, but I think I'm starting to warm up to her.

This song sounds way too much like Express Yourself. The first time I heard it I told my friend it sounded like a Madonna song. I usually like Gaga but Im not a fan of Born This Way.

I love Lady Gaga. 'Born This Way' is excellent, not her best, but kinda close. I'm totally pumped for her 17-track (17!) album this May.

The Born This Way video was insane..in a good way. Pretty creative.

I have a bad feeling about this one- Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" might sound a little catchy, but unfortunately, Madonna is going to have a case against her, because it sounds very similar to "Express Yourself". The bad part is if Madonna takes Lady Gaga to court, suing her for plagirism, because of "Born This Way". We had better stay on top of this, because I don't think anything good is going to come out of this one. Lady Gaga is a good performer, and she could be Madonna of the next generation, but I think she's gotten on Madonna's bad side, this time.

Don't worry. Madonna is not going to sue Lady Gaga. It would just make Madge look like the bad guy and this interest in the similarity isn't hurting her. This is the most people have talked about Madonna in years.

Wow! This was great! I actually like it more than "Born This Way" and it's so catchy! The lyrics at the beginning kind of remind me of "Bad Romance" and "Alejandro". :p I also like how it sounds way different from any of the other songs I've been hearing recently on the radio.

Here's the Official Audio from her VEVO page on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAWpkZSCMXU

I totally love Judas... It does have some similarities to Bad Romance but I think Judas has something different from her other songs.. in a good way. It's been on repeat for a while now. :p

I'm excited for the album! Gaga released the album artwork (I dislike it).

Judas and Born This Way are great. :D
