Oh wow, they really are still going through with this o_O.

Well, I'm mostly interested in this just to see Zatanna in live-action, but a part of me isn't sure if I'd like to see her in DCEU or in a likely more moody and dark (pardon the pun) feature film...

I want Zatanna on the League I'd hate seeing Wonder Woman reduced to being the token female of the movie.

I would love to see Swamp Thing on the big screen in this day and age. I'm disappointed Del Toro is no longer directing, but I'm excited for this. Maybe James Wan as a replacement? He's proven he can do action and horror, and this sounds like it'll be a lot creepier than your average superhero movie.

Perlman playing Swamp Thing with either Hellboy level makeup or by voicing him would be pretty awesome :D.

Well, Zatanna's of Italian descent, so I guess a Hispanic actress could work for her. So long as the movie portrays her well and we get to see her in fishnets, I'll be happy ;).

I have a feeling DC/WB will fast track this the closer we get to Dr. Strange. They'll watch to see how it performs.

Three directors for JL Dark. This is a DC Film thread. ;)

Yeah when you get casting rumors, they usually come with director ones. Not familiar with any of them, though I have heard of Alvarez with his 'devoid of humor' Evil Dead. I'm kinda curious what one of Del Toro amigos would do with this like Bayona (Orphanage) or Muscheitti (Mama).

Well I figured, y'know, we're on a JLD trend in this topic, lol.

I don't know who any of them are either.

Well, it's cool that they're still committed to a Justice League Dark movie, and I imagine the objective successes of Suicide Squad bolstered WB's desire for another strong ensemble for the DCEU, so hopefully this finds more traction then the Del Toro helmed version :).

I also find it funny that the news of a live-action adaption of the group is coming hot off the heels of the animated movie ;).

Looking forward to seeing who they cast for the JLD and how they'll portray them, as well as the movie's visual style. Given the use of magic, I imagine they could easily turn it into a very amazing visual spectacle .

I wonder if it's too much to expect Matt Ryan to reprise Constantine for this :p?

And things are looking worse and worse for Gambit .

The more I see these projects announced, the more I still wish they were isolated projects. I do think its cool to get a JLDark in a universe with other heroes and villains, but I just wish this was GDT's one-n-done vision.

Awesome! I've been keeping my fingers crossed on this, and I certainly trust Doug Liman. Great news.

I suspect this more has to do with Dr. Strange coming up. Also, Liman (or the Studios) went looking for other avenues after Deadpool. I also think he realized Gambit was already messy and has disaster written all over it. FOX would be wise to stay away from it, Channing Tatum is not Ryan Reynolds. That is to say he isn't a fanboy.

Anyway, Liman can build what he wants from the ground up. GDT had a script, even started soft casting, and that is at least a small start.
