One of the movies I have the earliest memories of is Little Shop of Horrors, the 1986 Frank Oz adaptation of the off-Broadway musical adaptation of the 1960 Roger Corman film.

Today I learned that it had a 23-minute alternate ending that was truer to the musical (and by extension the Roger Corman film) that was rewritten into a happier one when it didn't test well with audiences.

Here is an excerpt from it, "Don't Feed the Plants." Whether or not you prefer this ending, you've got to admire the work that went into it.

The Director's Cut Blu-Ray has the option to choose between the two endings. Neither seems perfect to me, but the one where Seymour and Audrey live feels more in line with the other changes the movie made to the story.

Do you still recall the last video you saw with them, and would you mind if I decided to share a newer one?

In other news, I learned today that Toon Zone removed most of this forum's rating buttons, most of which I don't remember pushing, anyways.

I learned that there was one point when Nick@Nite aired at 5 P.M., at least on Sundays. Promo I found this out from starts at 4:08.

I seriously need to start watching that show. There were a few references to it in some YTP's I saw recently (most notably "Nope, not doing that!").
In other "I learned today" news, I noticed that our profile pictures are now contained in circles.
