I wasn't sure if they would wrap up at 13 eps this season but I guess they are. My one hope is that before the season is over, we'll get an appearance by an actual X-Man, whether it's a movie actor or a recast for the show.

I really wonder what the show's chances will be like for a possible season 2 after the ouster of Bryan Singer and Bad Hat Harry, and now the Disney purchase of Fox.

Never thought Disney could end another very good X-Men show after Wolverine and the X-Men, but I can't see them keeping The Gifted around. Maybe Legion since it's so outside of the X-Universe, but not The Gifted.

That's some good news. I didn't expect it.

Me neither but I would guess the merger is going to take a year and a half to two years for everything to be squared away - so like 2019. 2018 will probably be the legalities, congressional hearings, and so on so these on the cusp shows are safe until then?

With the trend in the ratings, I wasn't sure if the network would want more as well but I'm glad to know that things aren't wrapping up after the finale. The initial description of the show turned me off a little but it's been a bit of a surprise favorite for me.

That's a neat addition. I've thought of that person as a standout for the last few episodes.

Does this mean that the character will no longer be doing sexy, half-naked dance sequences?

1/14: I remember reading Aubrey Plaza will return so we'll still an aspect of that character in David's head I guess leftover after the Shadow King left?

1/15: Matt Nix interviewed about Gifted season finale. Wish list for season 2 - X-Factor and more Morlocks.

1/31: 3 stills released and first footage of Legion season 2 can be seen at minute mark in this FX promo.

2/6: Legion season 2 starts April 3. Promo banner included. David will still be missing when the season begins.

2/11: Nix tries to explain why they don't say Magneto's name directly on The Gifted.

Legion season 2 will have more dancing.

2/20: New promo for Legion season 2 from Aubrey Plaza's Twitter.

The Gifted season 2 will explore 7/15 in more detail, maybe in flashbacks. It is center to the disappearance of X-Men and Brotherhood, birth of the Mutant Underground, the plan to rebuild Brotherhood.
