I can't think of who in Legion could have an iconic look.
8/3: Maybe it's Legion's big hair and Farouk's original look in the comics in Moroccan garb?

8/4: Stevens pretty much confirmed we're going to meet other personalities in David's head and the comics are a hint at the scope of what's left to explore.

8/6: Shuler Donner, at SDCC, confirmed The Gifted and Legion are not canon to the movie universe. She confirmed there were more TV shows planned but there was the fear of oversaturation and she's content with just Legion and Gifted.

Interesting. I wonder what the X-Men and Brotherhood in the worlds of The Gifted or Legion would be like.
Maybe Xavier exists independent of the X-Men in Legion?

I take it that Hellfire is completely off the table now?

Oh good. I'm already worried about oversaturation with thirteen different Marvel shows across ABC, Freeform, Fox, Netflix, Hulu, and FX. DC already has eleven shows currently or soon-to-be on the air. I'm concerned the balloon will pop and people will be tired of all these superhero shows, let alone the movies.

At least, we know the X-Men shows wouldn't be the reason for any superhero overload. Legion is great and I'm kind of iffy on the Gifted, but hopefully it's good. I'm just glad Lauren Shuler Donner and the others working on the mutant shows realize the market is already pretty full.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not happening at all, unless they try to bring it back, like Marvel Television tried with Marvel's Most Wanted.

^^^In addition, Hellfire might have been shelved because they went forward with planning on the next trilogy that starts with Dark Phoenix and they may play a role in it.

Executive-produced by Matt Nix, Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory and Len Wiseman. Join series stars and producers for an exclusive first-look of the second episode from the fall’s critically acclaimed new family adventure series which airs Mondays on FOX. Main Stage PLUS Find your GIFT, find your power!

9/11: Garret Dillahunt joins The Gifted as Roderick Campbell, a mutant researcher under contract with Sentinel Services. His character is described as "Professorial, intense and intimidating," with "a morally dubious mission yet to be revealed." In the comics, he worked on Muir Island and found out an AU version of himself as a villain named Ahab who created mutant trackers. Hmm, so perhaps he has something do with those sentinel spider things in the trailer.
