Staring off, a new interview with Johns and Berg. Things like there was surprise with the negative response with BvS and SS, accelerating hope and optimism in JL, implications there'll be a shorter leash on Snyder than Nolan.

It already seems like Snyder had a fairly short leash with how much the studio apparently interfered with BvS .

But this case, now Johns and Berg can jerk the leash moving forward with JL -- it seems. But I can see them back pedal and say 'it was the plan all along to start dark and move to a place of hope'

Yeah, and this just defends my belief they need to call this whole DCEU idea quits after JL2. This studio is not equipped for it. Individual films are okay, but not a connective universe if you have no one to sheperd it.

Regarding Booster Gold, fine with me. Gives him more freedom with time travel; they don't want a confusing X-Men timeline.

Will this be renamed the DC Extended Universe thread since we have an official name now? I've never really liked the whole "Marvel's shared universe is called the Marvel Cinematic Universe so DC's shared universe must be called the DC Cinematic Universe" situation I keep seeing online. DC doesn't use that name so I don't think we should either. Thanks. :)

I think it more has to do with saving site space. However we may get DC films unrelated to the DCEU like Sandman.

BTW, I know some people are suggesting 'Dark Universe' may be that Oct 2017 date. This is rumor of course, but I never thought of that. Way too soon, methinks.

9/21: Just get rid of Zack Snyder after Justice League and the DCEU will be way better he's gone. WB can't be hoodwinked by Zack Snyder going forward.

Looks like theyre going for three films a year, cause SHAZAM is set for early 2019 already. Ugghh. As of right now, no thanks.

Well, it's still highly likely not all of them are DC movies - they could some of WB's other slates.

I don't think showing 3 a year is feasible for them.

Would a Vertigo adaption count as DC movie, even it it's not in-continuity with the Extended Universe?

For the purposes of this thread, sure. Vertigo is under DC's banner after all.

I don't know what's happening with Sandman, and really don't want a film.
