can someone tell me what the "catch" is for BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS ACTION FIGURE 4-PACK? $22.95 seems too good to be true for a dc direct action figure 4 pack. are these new figures smaller compared the older dc direct dark knight returns figures? is it $22.95 each figure or for all of them?
I think that's the price for the Superman figure by itself. The DKR 4-pack is showing a price of $59.95.
Anyway, my other comments:
- I have no interest at all in Before Watchmen, but my goodness Darwyn Cooke knows how to draw the heck out of a pinup.
- Am I interested enough in the Wonder Woman reboot to try the trade? Maybe...
- Definitely in for the new Global Frequency TPB. Been meaning to get to that for some time now.
oh jeez. i was going through/copy and pasting the solicitations on comicbookresources.com and they didnt have the $59.95 price. looks like i'll be checking toonzone's comic solicitations next time i see a list price that's too good to be true.
Due to budget restraints, I cut some books from my monthly reads. None of them were really bad or anything, they just weren't great books either. Decent reads, but nothing I looked forward to each month. So I dropped Smallville: Season 11, Supergirl and Superman Family Adventures, which is a shame over how much I loved Tiny Titans. SFA just wasn't doing it for me.
-Justice League #15
-The Flash #15: Seeing his costume like that just reminds me that I'm still not really feeling it.
-Earth 2 #7
-Batman #15: That's actually a pretty clever cover.
-Justice League Dark #15
May Get/Not Getting But Worth Note
-Detective Comics #15: If Layman's first issue is good.
-Batman and Robin #15: Speaking of clever covers.
-Animal Man vol. 2: Animal vs. Man TP: I got the first trade, but haven't read it yet. If it's good, I'll end up grabbing this as well.
-Sleeper Omnibus HC: I recently got into the Brubaker/Phillips stuff and love it, but, man, that's expensive. I may have to use my "One Volume Bone" argument in that "It's All Here, So This Is The Only Time I'll Have To Drop Money On It..."
-Sweet Tooth #40: I'm a little behind on it, but it's a great series, and it's a shame to see it go. At least it's going out on it's own terms, though.
I'll be buying:
Action Comics #15
Superman Family Adventures #8
And that's all. This will be Morrison's next to last issue; I'll be dropping it (and the last tie to the "New 52" I have) with his leaving...
