We have an active picture of Jim and Aisha already?
Behind every great man stands an 11-year-old genius.
Today, it's all about the Kiyo.
You can pick your crew, and you can pick your ears, but you can't...pick your crew's...ears...or something.
....wait. Did Aisha just call herself a livewire?
...mature and worldly. Sure.
Gene's rep precedes him.
There's a unique grappler ship design.
I just now realized that Jim is voiced by the same woman who voiced Koromon.
"Hot kisses to my devoted fans", huh?
So another simple fight. ...maybe not quite. We're not world weary enough, are we?
He who fights and runs away...
The team that's dysfunctional together stays together.
Well, hey, Aisha, at least we have a better idea of how to fight that guy in an inevitable rematch.
....off to have fun, I see? Sure thing you livewire.
So it's been a while, but it's especially worth noting that this is the second episode to be both scripted and storyboarded by the director of Outlaw Star, Mitsuru Hongo. It's noteworthy because a director handling the script and storyboard of an episode of an anime is somewhat rare. But when that does happen, you're almost guaranteed to see the director's personal touch in said-episode.
This is also the third of four episodes to have Susume Yamaguchi as animation director. His previous episodes were 7 and 14.
Jim stuck Gene with a babysitter.
Blocked by a kid. You know what I'm talking about. Ouch.
Aisha is not the only clown, Gene. You're proving as much. Of course, Jim is always one step ahead, HA!
Bang! Jim does his best Spike impression.
A boy genius' work is never done.
Just what we need after that Naruto Shippuden episode - more cats.
And now we have a girl. Titular checklist complete.
Toy Ship incoming.
Boy meets girl.
Oh dear. Jim's heart's goin' all pitter-patter.
Man, that girl's got a squeaky voice.
And this girl has some intuition. Huh.
...wait. "Hanmyo"? I don't know why but that name sounds familiar.
Here's to hoping destiny is kind.
Our little Kiyo's growing up.
Hanmyo has Iris' VA, Rebecca Forstadt, who also played Mihoshi in Tenchi Muyo, a Tachikoma in GitS, and Lynn Minmei in Robotech.
Okay, now Reba's just creeping me out as the new Colonel.
