Singing a funny song, I see, Aisha?
That's a big web. I hope Spider Mohawk isn't around...
That cactus must be one hell of an ice cream salesman.
Ride 'em, catgirl!
Ctarl-Ctarl's: high strength, low intelligence.
F34R the Gr8 1!
Your true nature was suggested by Red Eyes Take Warning, cactus nuisance.
I do only what the voices in my cactus tell me to.
Cactus bastard. Cactard.
Bad cactus! No biscuit!
Sorry, Cactard, Mel is doing her CMOA now.
Here comes Melfina's big moment. And the Great One's villainous breakdown.
Melfina for the win!
Yeah, well, look where evolution got you.
Aisha can sleep anywhere.
Higher species, huh?
Bye, Cactard, it was not nice knowing you.
And there was Mel's CMOA for this episode. Shame about the situation though.
Sorry, Gene, but Gilliam has your number.
Melfina's (probably) onto you, Gene.
And a running gag book end.
Next week: New ED, but unfortunately it's not
Europe's signature song. Doo-doo-doo doooooooo...
Maybe you should do it. Give it a Japanese flair.
Imagine if Disney made Die Hard.
I wonder how many crush fans got off on Melfina's big scene.
Episode 13 was pretty sweet/enjoyable/weird.
Cool with Aisha a part of Gene's crew, awesome funny catgirl anti-heroine ally.
Gene, Jim, Melfina, and Aisha taking up various jobs around the city in Heifong was great/enjoyable.
A sweet Star Wars reference with a race called the Sith who are villains.
The creepy mind-controlling cactus and its giant insect servant, most random weird bizarre minor villains, hehehe.
Melfina crushing the mind-controlling cactus was awesome/funny, hehehe.
Cool seeing Suzuka, but funny when she gets thrown out, hahahahaha. She's the best new anti-heroine ally for Gene/Jim.
So, no one else noticed the name of the business next to the ice cream stand? When the girl with Gene first points out the stand, the camera pans and we briefly see a sign that reads...wait, I better put this in spoilers since it's a bit, well a LOT, NSFW (you've been warned)...
It's on the building to the right, above the door.
It only appears a split second and I had to rewind my DVR to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
I thought that this episode was pretty good. I should have expected that all of these jobs would collide together near the end, but I wouldn't have expected an alien cactus mind controlling everyone like that. We have seen some aliens in the show, but not too many, so it was surprising. I didn't think that Gene would actually go out with that woman from the space race either. Even Gene couldn't shoot at it and save Jim. At least Melfina got a chance to save the day, so that was neat. It was kind of funny how they had the same reactions to both Suzuka and Aisha's job offers at the beginning and end of the episode.
Overall, it was a pretty good episode. It was more weird and lighthearted than I expected, but after the past couple of episodes, I guess that they wanted a bit of a breather episode.
Episode 14: "The Final Countdown"
Previously on Dirty Jobs...er, Outlaw Star: I haven't seen a cactus that nefarious since Doctor Who.
......Yes, there really was an episode of Doctor Who with an evil cactus.
Last time: I cry, you cry, we all cry for cacti.
Red wire, blue wire, red wire, blue wire...
Take this job and take it.
The first time Suzuka and Aisha are in the same room.
They're playing our (opening) song.
