Episode 68: "Pirates × and × Guesses" Chapters adapted: 155-160 Corresponding 1999 episodes: 82-83 Last time... Spoiler After making the trade with Tsezguerra’s team, Genthru suddenly claimed it was a bad deal, angering Tsezguerra’s men. However, this was a diversion, as Sub and Bara snuck up on them and used the card “Levy” to steal random cards from each of their books, including a few cards that Tsezguerra’s group had been monopolizing. Having stolen five types of cards, Sub and Bara teleported back to Masadora, leaving Tsezguerra’s men to figure out what to do to stop Genthru from completing the game. Elsewhere, having already gained 50 of the required 100 cards, Gon’s group went around Masadora to trade Leave cards to players stranded in the game, gaining four more cards. They then went back to the village of sick villagers and, using Gon’s necklace which removes curses, cured them and gained the rare Wild Luck Alexandrite card. They were then contacted by Kazule, who requested they join him and several other groups of players for a discussion on how to stop Genthru from completing the game. For their part, Gon explained to the group what he had been told about Genthru’s powers and how to undo their effects. It was then brought up that, out of the remaining cards which Genthru does not have, one card has not been claimed by any player yet: the Patch of Shore card located in the coastline city of Soufrabi. Using the Accompany card, the collective group of 15 players went to Soufrabi, discovering shortly after they landed that 15 was the exact number of players needed to activate the quest line to obtain Patch of Shore. An NPC began to tell them about a man named Razor, who leads a band of 14 pirates and will kill anyone who seeks the Patch of Shore, which led to Gon and the others confronting the pirates in an old pub... This time… The alliance confronts Razor, while Gon and Killua investigate into the person using Chrollo’s name.
