THE PHANTOM TROUPE (aka THE SPIDERS): Spoiler Chrollo Lucilfer (Voiced by: Robbie Daymond) - The leader of the Phantom Troupe, Chrollo is calm, intelligent, and charismatic, as well as a capable strategist. He values his comrades about all else, even the objects which they plunder, which he always sells as soon as he is done admiring. Chrollo is a Specialist, and his abilities make him one of the most dangerous Nen users alive. Hisoka Morow (Voiced by: Keith Silverstein) - An intimidating and mysterious character, Hisoka is bloodthirsty and willing to kill whoever he has to in order to advance his questionable goals. Secretly, Hisoka shows no real loyalty to the Troupe, and seems to have only become a member to get closer to Chrollo. Hisoka is a Transmuter, able to use an incredibly elastic substance known as Bungee Gum, which in combination with other aspects of Nen can be quite devastating. Uvogin (Voiced by: Patrick Seitz) - Uvogin is the most physically powerful of the Phantom Troupe, with a barbaric-like nature. He enjoys fighting and killing more than anything, a drive that leads him towards fighting powerful opponents, often without thinking of a plan first. Uvogin is an Enhancer, which has contributed to his immense strength. Phinks (Voiced by: David Vincent) - Phinks is short-tempered and ruthless, often getting into fights with his own teammates. However, he is also loyal to his comrades and Chrollo especially. Phinks is a master of unarmed combat, able to moved quickly and snap necks without alerting his victims to his presence. Phinks is an Enhancer, which allows him to unleash devistating punches. Franklin (Voiced by: Edward Bosco) - Franklin is as dangerous as his Frankenstein’s Monster-like appearance suggests, never hesitating when it comes to murder and unfaltering in difficult situations. It could be argued he is the second-in-command of the Troupe, as he is the only one besides Chrollo who can rally the group to cooperate. Franklin is an Emitter, able to create tiny machine guns from his fingers. Feitan (Voiced by: Tom Bauer) - Feitan is the Phantom Troupe’s interrogated skilled in the art of torture. He is cold-natured and a man of few words, the common tongue of the world being a second language to him. His greatest skill is a combination of immense speed as well as precise swordsmanship, able to slice the heads off half a dozen men in the blink of an eye. Machi (Voiced by: Abby Trott) - Machi is possibly the coldest member of the Troupe, feeling no reason to hold back her opinions no matter how harsh. This is valuable to her comrades as her intuition is sharp, observations that are almost always correct. She a transmutation type who uses Nen-infused needles which can be useful for either tracking someone or repairing serious wounds like a severed limb. Bonolenov - Unlike his comrades, Bonolenov isn’t interested in fighting, only doing so when provoked. He is a Conjuror type. Nobunaga Hazama (Voiced by: Joe J. Thomas) - Nobunaga is usually calm, but has a tendency to clash with his allies. He, like his best friend Uvogin, is terrible at impromptu decision making. Nobunaga is an Enhancer, and is greatly skilled in swordsmanship. Shalnark (Voiced by: Griffin Burns) - Shalnark is the most “friendly” member of the Troupe, always smiling and able to get along with everyone, but this is more to keep up morale than any sentimental attachment to the group. He is a Manipulator, able to control people with his cell phone and increase his own strength greatly. Pakunoda (Voiced by: Erica Lindbeck) - Pakunoda is self-confident to the point of intimidating others, as well as extremely loyal to the Troupe. She is a Specialist, able to read people’s thoughts and share the information with her comrades via Nen bullets known as “Memory Bombs”. Shizuku (Voiced by: Janice Roman Roku) - Shizuku is air-headed and has short term memory loss, which leads her opponents to often underestimate her abilities. She is a Conjurer, able to conjure a vacuum cleaner that can inhale an infinite number of nonliving objects, allowing the Troupe to commit murders and erase any evidence of the crime. Kortopi - Very little is known about Kortopi. He is a Conjurer, able to create an exact duplicate of any object he touches with his left hand, which can then be tracked if he touches the original again. Episode 47: "Condition × And × Condition" Chapters adapted: 81-84 Corresponding 1999 episode: 56 Last time... Spoiler Uvogin exclaimed that he still wanted to fight Kurapika. At the same time, Hisoka met with Kurapika at a merry-go-round, and awaited his answer to join forces. Before Kurapika could answer, Melody called to inform him Uvogin had escaped. After hanging up, Kurapika asked Hisoka if he knows anything about the Scarlet Eyes. Hisoka only knows that Chrollo admires what he takes and eventually sells it off. He told Kurapika he doesn't want to team up, but exchange information, as Kurapika wants to kill the Phantom Troupe and Hisoka wants to kill Chrollo. Kurapika didn't answer, walked away, and told Hisoka to meet in the same place tomorrow. Back in the motel room, Melody, Kurapika, Squala, Basho and Linssen sataround wondering what to do next. Squala told the group that Neon Nostrade's father, Light Nostrade, was the one who hired them. They told Neon about the other bodyguards who died during the attack on the auction and asked to speak to her father for further instructions. They all picked Kurapika to talk to him, however, this was exactly to Kurapika's plans to become close with the mafia to dismantle them. Kurapika told Light that Dalzollene was most likely dead and he'd taken leadership. He also told him about the Phantom Troupe attacking the auction. Light agreeed and Kurapika left. In a random dead person's apartment, Uvogin drank beer (to get the poison out from the leeches) while Shalnark looked on the Hunter's website to find where Uvogin was being held captive. He found out the Nostrade family was there. Uvogin was ready to go when Franklin told him to hurry and Shalnark told him not to go overboard. At the same time, Kurapika was looking at the same information. He realized the Phantom Troupe could easily find where they were. He ordered the others to go to another room, while he'd stay there. Meanwhile, Gon, Killua and Leorio discussed their money situation in buying Greed Island. They continued their arm wrestling scam until a mafia boss told them about an underground fighting ring where they could make much more money. Just as Gon was about to enter a fight, it was cancelled when the mafia showed up, and wanted everyone to look for the Phantom Troupe members, promising incredibly huge rewards for them dead or alive. They tried to call Kurapika to tell him about the bounty on the Troupe, but he didn't answer, as he stood face to face with Uvogin. This time… Kurapika faces off against Uvogin in a battle to the death. Notes: The chapters which this episode covers can be found in volumes 9 and 10 of the manga release.
