Opening Theme: "Distant Future" by Kankaku Piero Ending Theme: "Blue Flame" by Itowokashi Previously on Black Clover: Spoiler Heath Grice manages to reduce Asta's momentum by freezing the ground under his feet, thus negating most of the damage he received from Asta's attack. Subsequently, Heath launches a counter-attack on Asta and starts freezing Noelle's magic spell to create an entrance. Depleted of almost all of his magical power, Magna begins to loose his fighting spirit until he sees Asta's tenacity and strong will to fight Heath. Regaining his confidence, Magna steps out of Noelle's spell and asks Asta to redo the initiation ceremony that they had previously. Heath and his group of mages is taken down from their blindspot by Magna and Asta's strategy while Noelle is shrouding Magna with her protection spell. Heath tries to freeze Magna's fire spell after he realizes that the fire would not fade. Taking advantage of the situation, Asta delivers another clean strike upon Heath. Asta finally manage to take down Heat with his attack in which Magna quickly uses a Restraining Magic spell on all four of them by taking advantage of his fire spells that still burning on their bodies. Unfortunately, one of them manages to escape by extinguishing the spell with a water spell. Feeling euphoric after his victory, Asta faints out of exhaustion. From his hood, an anti-bird from the Magic Knights Entrance Exam emerges and takes flight. It senses something from one of the villager's house and flies straight in where it finds a peculiar stone. The anti-bird takes the stone and uses to wake Asta up forcefully. Asta tries to return the stone that the anti-bird took but the villagers decide that he could have it, instead. Subsequently, Noelle Silva is fascinated by the anti-bird's appearance and offers herself as its owner. As Heath regains his consciousness, Magna reveals to him that they would be taken to the headquarters for questioning. However, refusing to give any information, Heath activates a suicidal spell that kills him along with his two subordinates. His act impresses Magna for his degree of loyalty while it sickens Asta for Heath's lack of appreciation towards life. In another place, the escaped mage reports the situation to an ominous figure who is standing in front of a sephirot. Back in Sosshi, Asta, while running from the anti-bird with Noelle following them, encounters Nick who is the grandson of the village's chief and the man that won the bet against Yami Sukehiro and Magna. After hearing about Nick's grandfather's bravery when he tried to stop Heath, Asta gives Nick a few words of encouragement regarding his chance of becoming a part of the Magic Knights Tonight: After Asta, Magna, and Noelle saved the villagers of Saussy Village, the Wizard King gives the Black Bulls a star of honor. Asta and Noelle also receive their first pay as Magic Knights, and Asta is filled with happiness.
