Four years ago, I started a thread for the Brazilian World Cup. Four years later, I repeat my duty.

We're nearly three hours away from the first match. This world cup is notorious for the absence of Italy and the United States, the Ivorian and Ghanaian qualification streaks being broken and the debut of Iceland and Panama.

As is the standard, the first day will feature just one game: Russia vs. Saudi Arabia.

TIMES FOR THE OPENING CEREMONY AND THE MATCH:
WET: 15:30/16:00
CET: 16:30/17:00
EDT: 10:30/11:00
WDT: 07:30/08:00
MSK: 17:30/18:00

Germany 0 - 1 Mexico (¡¡¡¡¡GOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!)

Next up: Brazil vs. Switzerland

Notice that I'm watching KVEA (Telemundo Los Angeles) on my 4K TV with an OTA antenna, because my Dish provider with channels Fox Sports 1, KVEA (Telemundo Los Angeles; satellite feed), and Telemundo (National) became 6-10 seconds late during the live program.

Oh, one more thing...

Happy Father's Day!
