Airs tonight at 9pm. 8pm is the pre-show. Russell Brand is hosting. Yes, again. It's back in New York though.

I can't wait! I really hope it'll be interesting though. From what i've heard of whose performing it seems like it'll be pretty good. Looking forward to see Lady Gaga's performance the most.

When did this start airing on Sunday nights? When I was a teenager, it used to always be on Thursday nights. Here's hoping Katy Perry wins the awards she deserves.

The scheduling really starting going out of whack after 2001. For several years, the VMAs were held at the end of August (apparently, the 9/11 attacks were a contributing factor). I suppose that it makes more sense to hold on on Sundays, since more people are likely home at that time.

There's also gonna be a Michael Jackson tribute. So, even if you're not a fan of this show it might be worth checking that out.

That was one of the better openings we've had in a while.

Holy crap forced banter sucks. No wonder I gave up after the 9/9/99 VMAs. It was the last good one.

Kanye West is such a jerk. Poor Taylor Swift. Still, I laughed. Also, that MJ tribute was awesome.

With everyone talking about the MJ tribute, I thought this year would have a good VMAs as well.

The Taylor Swift subway performance was awesome. That along with the MJ tribute and messed up (but funny) Kanye moment has made this the best VMA's since 2000.

Kanye West officially cements his status as the biggest female hygenic product in the universe.

I only tuned in to see Muse (and they rocked as expected). I would've tuned out right after their performance, but now I'm too compelled by the whole Kanye fiasco. Good on the VMA crowd for booing his crybaby ass.

Beyonce was so nice. What a nice ending to the ceremony. Love or hate MTV or VMA's you can't deny this was a good show.

I think I might have lost a lot of respect I had for Kanye. I like his music but....damn that was just wrong. I'm not even a fan of Taylor Swift and watching that clip pissed me off.
