How many of you, when you were younger, wished you could see the Sailor Moon films in theaters? The only possible way was to become fluent in Japanese, hop a plane and buy a ticket for the local cinemas in Kyoto…or to build a time machine and hop to 2018 because it’s about to finally happen. How soon can we expect her?
Viz Media and Fathom Events have teamed up to create the ultimate Sailor Scout experience. Sailor Moon R: The Movie and Sailor Moon S. The Movie will screen as a double bill next month, followed by Sailor Moon Super S the month after. With Super S, you get a bonus: the never-before seen in theaters short “Ami’s First Love.”
“We are very excited to partner with Fathom to bring the next set of Sailor Moon movies to audiences nationwide,” says Brian Ige, VP of Animation at Viz: “Catch the adventures of the Sailor Guardians the way they were meant to be seen – on the big screen – at this summer’s exclusive Sailor Moon theatrical events!”
