Where in the world can you stream In This Corner Of The World? How soon is this award-winning anime film coming to the corner of Netflix?

Here’s why you don’t want to pass this one up: The central character of This Corner Of The World is Suzu Urano, who lives in 1940’s Japan and moves with her husband to the town of Kure located in Hiroshima. The first two-thirds are about Suzu overcoming small personal issues and are rather light in tone, and then (SPOILERS if you never went to school) an atomic bomb is dropped on the city. The last third becomes about just surviving, as Suzu and her new friends rely on the bond they have formed.

In This Corner Of The World had a limited theatrical screening last year arranged jointly by Shout Factory and Funimation. Netflix picked up the streaming rights in both America and Japan, as well as Canada and several other territories.

You can take this trip back to the past beginning March 15. Here’s Netflix’s official trailer…

The award-winning story of IN THIS CORNER OF THE WORLD follows a young lady named Suzu Urano, who in 1944 moves to the small town of Kure in Hiroshima to live with her husband’s family. Suzu’s life is thrown into chaos when her town is bombed during World War II. Her perseverance and courage underpin this heart-warming and inspirational tale of the everyday challenges faced by the Japanese in the midst of a violent, war-torn country. This beautiful yet poignant tale shows that even in the face of adversity and loss, people can come together and rebuild their lives.
