Via Variety, Ben Schwartz will be voicing the Sonic the Hedgehog in the upcoming live-action/animated movie to be tentatively released November 15, 2019.  Schwartz has voiced several animated characters including Randy Cunningham in Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, and currently he’s voicing Dewey Duck in Disney’s DuckTales reboot and Leonardo in Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.

Also, via Collider, joining Schwartz in the movie will be Adam Pally, Neal McDonough, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Jim Carrey, who will be playing a live-action Dr. Robotnik.  The loose plot, according to Collider, has Marsden playing a small-town cop from South Dakota who joins Sonic on a trip to San Francisco to recover Sonic’s rings from Dr. Robotnik.
