Weisman Has a ‘Meltdown’ on "The Batman"

This Sunday, the Canadian channel Teletoon will premiere a new episode from The Batman‘s second season, written by Greg Weisman of Gargoyles fame. The episode, entitled “Meltdown,” will revisit some plot threads left from the two-part finale of the first season involving The Joker and Clayface.

ClayfaceWhile the entire first season, and half of the second season, of The Batman have aired so far in Canada, some of these episodes have yet to reach American screens. So be warned, there may be some spoilers.

“‘Meltdown’ is pretty much a direct follow-up to the first season two-part finale,” says Weisman, writer of the episode.

Besides writing the two-part finale for season one, Weisman also wrote the episode “The Big Chill,” featuring Mr. Freeze. Click the following links to read reviews for Part 1 and Part 2 of the first season finale.

“I had a blast writing it, and as usual, working with Story Editor Duane Capizzi to come up with the story,” says Weisman. “It features Joker as the villain and Clayface as… the hero?”

The episode, #19 in production order, will air Sunday, April 10th, at 10am on Teletoon. Teletoon airs The Batman Monday and Friday at 3:30pm (ET), and weekends at 10am (ET).
