The World Cup is just around the corner – if you feel that June is “just around the corner” and most football/futbol/soccer fans do feel this way – so the proper time has arrived for the launch of “Warren United”, a new animated British television series detailing the travails of football/soccer freak fan Warren Kingsley. Voiced by Darren Boyd [“The World’s End”], Kingsley is an out-of-shape kitchen appliance salesman who has two passions in life – his family and the Brainsford United football team, known affectionately as The Meringues. “Warren United” is written by Simon Nye [“men Behaving Badly”] and the voice cast also includes Nitin Ganatra [“EastEnders”] as Warren’s best friend Dilip, Georgie Glen [“Les Miserables”] as Warren’s mother and Johnny Vegas [“Ideal”] as Fat Baz, the manager of the Brainsford United team.
