Walt Disney Board Defends CEO Selection Process

The ten independent members of The Walt Disney Company board issued a strong rebuke on Thursday to Roy Disney and Stanley Gold, calling their charges “baseless and inaccurate.”

Earlier this week, Disney and Gold filed a lawsuit against several of The Walt Disney Company board members, alleging that the process used to name a successor to CEO Michael Eisner was biased in favor of Iger and did not adequately consider outside candidates.
