Toons Win at Daytime Emmys

Rolie Polie Olie and Peep and the Big Wide World took top honors at the 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Saturday, the National Television Academy says.

The Disney Channel’s Rolie Polie Olie was named Outstanding Special Class Animated Program while TLC’s Peep and the Big Wide World was named Outstanding Children’s Animated Program. The Disney Channel’s Brandy & Mr. Whiskers and PBS’s Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks shared the award for Outstanding Individual Achievement In Animation for their episodes “The Monkey’s Paw” and “Milk Melodrama,” respectively. Jakers! also picked up the award for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction And Composition.

The Disney Channel’s Kim Possible won for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Live Action and Animation, and KidsWB’s The Batman won for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing – Live Action and Animation.
