Toon Disney to Present "Bambi II" and "Kronk’s New Groove" Next Month
This November, Toon Disney will present the world television premiere of Bambi II, as well as the basic cable premiere of Kronk’s New Groove. Times and descriptions follow:
Friday, November 3 (5:00pm – 7:00pm, ET/PT):
“Bambi II,” the return of one of the silver screen’s most cherished characters Bambi, makes its world television premiere on Toon Disney’s Big Movie Show. “Bambi II” is the heartwarming, coming-of-age story of a son’s courage and a father’s love. Following the tragic loss of his mother, the young fawn reunites with his father, The Great Prince (voiced by Patrick Stewart, “X-Men” and “Star Trek: The Next Generation”), who must now teach Bambi (voiced by Alexander Gould, “Finding Nemo”) the ways of the forest. Their adventure together helps them overcome their initially awkward relationship, and allows father and son to discover in each other something neither expected: family.
Wednesday, November 8 (5:00pm – 7:00pm, ET/PT):
“Kronk’s New Groove,” the sequel to Disney’s hit feature film “The Emperor’s New Groove,” makes its basic cable television premiere on Toon Disney’s Big Movie Show. The film centers on loveable muscle-bound henchman Kronk (voiced by Patrick Warburton), who cooks up a get rich quick scheme to impress his “Papi” (voiced by John Mahoney), but can never seem to please him. When things go wrong, Kronk kicks into comical gear and discovers that the true riches in life are his friends and being “true to your groove.” In addition to Warburton, the voice cast from “The Emperor’s New Groove” returns with David Spade as Kuzco, John Goodman as Pacha and Eartha Kitt as villainess Yzma.
