THQ, Nick Announce Video Games for 2005

SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, and Danny Phantom will be feature in video games released in 2005, THQ and Nickelodeon said today as they announced their lineup of Nickelodeon-related video games for release in the coming year.

SpongeBob SquarePants will be a multiplayer collection of thirty party-style games for ages six to fourteen. The game, in which players compete to star in a Bikini Bottom TV show, will be released on the Xbox, PlayStation2, Game Cube, Game Boy Advance, PSP and PC platforms in the fall.

The companies will also release Tak 3, the third installment in the Tak property, in which two players cooperate to solve puzzles and combat competitors. It will be released on the PlayStation2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and DS platforms this fall.

Nicktoons will mix-and-match characters from such Nickelodeon shows as SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, Jimmy Neutron and Danny Phantom in a four-person multi-player game for the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and DS. It will be released in the fall.

THQ and Nickelodeon will also release games based on The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom and the upcoming Paramount film Barnyard later in the year.
