Remember that first time you had Spaghetti-O’s? Okay, maybe that’s not something you want to remember – but what about that feeling you had when you saw “Star Wars” the first 11 times? Or how about your pet rock or Tamagotchi? What about the time you went to Vegas and watched nuclear bomb testing? Or how about when they actually had cartoons on Saturday morning that made it worthwhile to get up at 7am with your bowl of Froot Loops, Cocoa Puffs or Captain Crunch [with Crunchberries, naturally] and sit and watch for three hours in your pajamas. This is the stuff memories are made of and that is also the stuff which makes up social nostalgia content site “Do You Remember?” The new site provides several nostalgic user-generated content channels like cartoons, movies, news, sports, tech or the various decades for people to not only wax nostalgic about but also share their memories with others via DYR’s chat rooms. So if anybody else owned a Big Wheel or a green Sting-Ray bike with a banana seat and wheelie bar, you can tell them all about your daredevil jumps or ramps you created out of wood and placed in the middle of the street to impress your friends.
The new social nostalgia site Do You Remember? launched earlier this year and has over 100,000 users.
