The Hub is adding three new animated series and has renewed a clutch of others for the 2012-2013 season, the network announced last week.

The Care Bears will return to the screen in CG-animated form in Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot. The series, from American Greetings Properties, will premiere this summer.

Hasbro itself will produce two new series, Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters and Littlest Pet Shop, that will also debut during the summer. The former is an animated action-fantasy about a boy who must join the mysterious Duel Masters and duel alongside fantastical creatures from a parallel dimension to save said creatures from being enslaved by evil forces. The Hub has ordered 26 episodes of the series.

Littlest Pet Shop is an animated comedy about a girl who cares for the animals at a pet shop. It too has received a 26-episode order.

Returning animated series include Dan Vs., My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Pound Puppies, Transformers Prime, and Transformers Rescue Bots.
