Phineas and Ferb gave Disney Channel UK its best animation launch in its history, World Screen reports. The series, which also premiered well in the United States, ranked number one in its time slot among boys ages 6 to 12.

Naked Chef Producing Preschooler Cookery Show

TV chef Jamie Oliver will produce a live-action/CGI show about cooking for the UK’s Nick Jr., the Telegraph reports. The show, Made with Magic, will be produced by Oliver’s Fresh One Productions and designed for preschoolers. Oliver, a.k.a. “The Naked Chef”, will executive produce; he is not expected to appear in the show.

"Ben 10: Race Against Time" Gets Celebrity Screening in UK

Cartoon Network UK will hold a special screening of Ben 10: Race Against Time at the Vue Cinema in London’s Leicester Square on Sunday, KidScreen reports. The screening will be for film cast, celebrity guests, and 400 contest-winning Ben 10 fans.

Animex Festival Coming to Teesside in February

The University of Teesside will host the Animex International Festival during the week of February 4, GazetteLive.com reports. Pop Stars Lending Voices to Cartoon Band

Pop musicians Justin Hawkins and Jamelia will lend their voices to Freefonix, a new children’s cartoon from BBC1, Metro.co.uk reports. The series is about a rock band engaged in a battle of good vs. evil. The show will premiere on January 4.
