Ursula K. LeGuin, the author of the Earthsea series of novels, has posted an English translation of the plot synopsis for Studio Ghibli’s Gedo Senki (Tales from Earthsea). The movie will be directed by Goro Miyazaki and is scheduled for release in Japan in July 2006. (via Nausicaa.net)
A survey by Nikkei BP Consulting has named Studio Ghibli as the top-ranked business-to-consumer brand in Japan, ahead of Toyota. The studio also ranked 4th or higher in all the sections organized by demographic.
Nausicaa.net is reporting that Studio Ghibli has posted a trailer on their website for Tales from Earthsea, the new film directed by Goro Miyazaki currently scheduled for release in July 2006. The trailer is in Flash format.
The new website GhibliWorld.com has just posted a special feature about the Ghibli Museum in Japan. The feature takes readers on a virtual tour of the museum and includes numerous photographs. (via Nausicaa.net)

Nausicaa.net is reporting that the GhibliWorld.com website has information about the short film Yadosagashi (House Hunting) currently showing at the Studio Ghibli museum in Tokyo. At press time, GhibliWorld.com is also headlining an interview with Ghibli director and co-founder Isao Takahata.
Studio Ghibli has posted an article written by Masako Shimizu about her connections to Ghibli’s Tales from Earthsea movie. Shimizu is the Japanese translator of the original Earthsea novels written by Ursula K. LeGuin. (via Nausicaa.net)

Nausicaa.net is reporting that Toonami will air a month’s worth of Hayao Miyazaki films to celebrate their 9th anniversary on the air. The films will begin on Saturday, March 18th.
