Three new short films will debut at the Studio Ghibli Museum starting on January 3. Nausicaa.net is reporting that Studio Ghibli’s next film will be entitled Gedo Senki (Gedo War History) and will be directed by Goro Miyazaki, son of Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki. The film will be an adaptation of A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. LeGuin. It is scheduled to be released in Japan in July 2006.
Nausicaa.net is reporting that the FilmFour satellite TV station in the United Kingdom will be running a Studio Ghibli film retrospective throughout the month of January. Titles and air dates are available at Nausicaa.net, which also states that most of the films will be shown in English dubbed versions.
