Miyazaki Coming to Toonami; Free "Totoro" in Dallas Mar 4

NTV's Hayao Miyazaki Interview Available On-line

Nausicaa.net is reporting that an interview with director Hayao Miyazaki aired on Japan’s NTV is available now at Ghibli World. The short film, currently unsubtitled, contains footage of the short films which can only be seen at the Studio Ghibli Museum.

New Studio Ghibli Film Announced

Nausicaa.net is reporting that Studio Ghibli’s next film will be entitled Gedo Senki (Gedo War History) and will be directed by Goro Miyazaki, son of Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki. The film will be an adaptation of A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. LeGuin. It is scheduled to be released in Japan in July 2006.

Joe Hisashi Wins LA Film Critics Association Award

Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisashi has won the Best Musical Score award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association for his work on Howl’s Moving Castle, according to Nausicaa.net.

Disney Announces Specs for "Whisper of the Heart" R1 DVD

Nausicaa.net has posted some details for Disney’s region 1 DVD release of Studio Ghibli’s Whisper of the Heart. The 2-disc set will be released on March 7, 2006, and will include a “behind the microphone” special feature, original storyboards, and trailers and TV spots.
