Henson’s ‘Dinosaur Train’ to be Showcased at MIPTV

"WordGirl" Returns to PBS on Sept 12, 2008

Animation Insider is reporting that WordGirl will be returning to PBS with new episodes starting on September 12, 2008 (local air times differ; check your local PBS affiliate for times). The 18 new episodes will pit the superhero against the forces of bad English grammar and aiming for liberty, justice, and better vocabulary for all.

"Bob the Builder" and "Thomas & Friends" to Go CGI

C21Media is reporting that the next series of Bob the Builder and Thomas & Friends will be done in CGI. The new series is slated to air in late 2009 in the US and the UK. The Bob the Builder: On Site direct-to-video movie series will continue to be done in a live-action/stop-motion hybrid.

PBS Kids Sprout Adding "Olly" to Schedule

PBS KIDS Sprout has picked up US broadcast rights to Taffy Entertainment’s Dive Olly Dive!, a CG-animated preschool show. The series is about the adventures of two submarines-in-training. Dive Olly Dive! will debut on June 7 as part of the network’s The Let’s Go Show. [Source: Taffy Entertainment]
