The Five Worst Episodes of "Justice League"

Justice League was an incredible animated series and, ten years after its debut, it is still considered the benchmark for super-hero animation. Stories were riveting, characters unforgettable, and clashes epic. This series still has fans talking to this day; debating and picking apart every episode, character and revelation. Reading Room: Dwayne McDuffie's "Justice League of America"

The late, great Dwayne McDuffie was the story editor for Justice League starting in season 2, and he served in that capacity for the duration of Justice League Unlimited. It would seem like a no-brainer for DC Comics to hand the keys to their premiere super-team book over to him and let him take them […]

Toonzone Presents: An Interview/Tribute to Dwayne McDuffie

Back in 2006, I briefly flirted with the notion of writing a book about superhero animation, its history and trajectory. It never came to fruition, partially because real life got in the way, and partially because I decided to refocus my energies on my biggest passion, which is voice acting. But I was fortunate enough […]

"Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths": One Plus One Equals Two-and-a-Half

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths is a nifty little gem of a movie, an unpretentious but thoroughly entertaining story that, probably, would have more appropriately been titled Justice League: When Archetypes Collide. It takes the old sci-fi trope about parallel worlds populated by moral mirror-images, and— Well, it doesn’t really do anything new or […]
