Toon Zone Throwdown Round 1: Top 5 Bare-Knuckle Brawls

Here at Toon Zone News, we firmly believe that non-violent solutions to Real World problems are the ones that should be actively sought out and implemented. These solutions are harder to do, but if done correctly, they will tend to be more permanent, resulting in less ancillary suffering of innocent bystanders and more long-term happiness […]

"Gundam MS IGLOO": More Milk from the UC Cash Cow

If you look at the Gundam landscape here in America, what little there is consists mostly of Cosmic Era stuff. While that’s fine for fans of the various SEED series, there’s still tons of Universal Century stuff that hasn’t been seen outside of Japan. Problem is, America hates the Universal Century. But does that stop […]

"Gundam SEED Destiny" Continues Its Downfall

You know what’s been lacking in Gundam SEED Destiny lately? Justice. Unfortunately, that breather occurs now. Last time, Athrun visited the PLANTs to see what they were […]

"Zeta Gundam" Pretty Good, But Not Perfect

After the Mobile Suit Gundam Movie Trilogy was such a big success, it was only natural to create a new series that would capitalize on the franchise, as well as to bring out new model kits for consumers to salivate over. Though it took a while, that series, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, finally arrived on […]

"Gundam Wing - The Last Outpost" The Outpost At Last

Side stories are nothing new to Gundam. You just have to look at the Universal Century where it seems there is always some new story set in the time frame of the original series ready to pop up to sell manga, games and plastic models. What makes Gundam: The Last Outpost (Japanese title Gundam Wing […]

"G-Saviour" We've Got Movie Sign!!

Say what you will about Japan, but they sure know how to throw a party. 1999 was the 20th anniversary of Sunrise/Bandai’s popular Mobile Suit Gundam franchise and much fanfare was made, the centerpiece being Yoshiyuki Tomino’s return to the director helm with his anniversary series Turn A Gundam. But in the shadows, away from […]
