FUNimation Entertainment has acquired home video, master toy and merchandising rights to Afro Samurai, an animated miniseries scheduled to premiere on Spike TV later this year. Navarre Corp. has promoted Ward Thomas to Senior VP of Sales and Operations for FUNimation and upped Joyce Fleck to VP of Sales & Marketing for FUNimation, AWN reports. Fleck takes over the sales responsibilities previously held by Thomas, in addition to her previous position of VP of Marketing for Navarre Corp.
