Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, will be released to theaters in 3D on February 10th. The film originally debuted in theaters in 1999, closing the 16-year gap since the release of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. The Phantom Menace, introduces young Anakin Skywalker. It is the beginning of the prequel trilogy of films that chronicles his descent into madness and eventual transformation into the villainous Darth Vader. The conversion to 3D was supervised by ILM and should benefit scenes such as the duel between the Jedi and Darth Maul and the Tatooine Podraces.
