"Space Kidettes" and "Young Samson" Now on Sale from Warner Archives
TVshowsondvd.com reports that Warner has released two Hanna-Barbera cartoons in one set, The Space Kidettes and Young Samson.
The Space Kidettes chronicles the space age adventures of Scooter, Jenny, Countdown, Snoopy, and their dog Pup Star who must protect a treasure map from the evil space pirate, Captain Skyhook and his evil pal Static.
The cartoon aired on NBC in 1966, and features the voices of Chris Allen (the legendary voice of Hoppity Hooper) as Scooter, Janet Waldo (Judy from The Jetsons, and Lana Lang from The Adventures of Superboy) as Jenny, Lucille Bliss (Smurfette from The Smurfs) as Snoopy, Daws Butler (the legendary voice of Yogi Bear, and Huckleberry Hound) as Captain Skyhook, and Don Messick (the legendary voice of Scooby-Doo) as Countdown, Static, and Pup Star.
Also in the set is Young Samson, the show follows a teenager named Samson who rides around in a motorbike with his pet dog, Goliath. But when evil is around, he clangs his wrist bands together and goes from teenager to his biblical namesake, but when he needs help he turns Goliath from a sweet lovable dog, to a powerful lion.
The cartoon aired on NBC in 1967, and features the voices of Tim Matheson (the original voice of Jonny Quest) as Samson, and Don Messick as Goliath.
All 20 episodes from both shows will appear in a 4-disc set, and it would be sold exclusively through Warner’s Manufacture-on-demand program, and sold through the WB site.
