Sony Launches PlayStation Vue

by on November 13, 2014

Using their video game console as a launch pad, Sony has officially launched PlayStation Vue – a web-based television viewing service offering 75 channels and video-on-demand selections in its initial outing. Out of the approximately 35 million domestic users in the desirable 18-35 demographic age range, select Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 users will be given Beta testing roles this month for the subscription-based service.

The service will be offered on a month-to-month basis with no contracts or penalties and give the user access to the past three days’ worth of popular programming along with ability to save their favorite shows to the cloud without storage restrictions.

Sony PlayStation Vue is expected to be made available to the general public beginning in major media markets of Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia in early 2015.
