SDCC2014: First Look at Halo: Nightfall

by on July 25, 2014

At Thursday’s Halo: Nightfall Panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, we got our first look at the live-action series which links Hal0 4 and the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians.

Halo: Nightfall is the origin story of Jameson Locke, who will be an important character in Halo 5. The  live-action series from Aliens and Blade Runner Director Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions and 343 Industries shows how “legendary manhunter” Locke and his team are caught in a biological attack and drawn into a plot centering around an “ancient, hellish artifact.”

Locke is played by Mike Colter, maybe best-known for his role on the CBS drama The Good Wife. Locke will be a playable character in the upcoming Halo 5 and will have his own unique Spartan armor, but it’s not been revealed if he and Master Chief will be pals or at each other’s well-armored throats.

The first episode of the five-part streaming series will premiere on Xbox One Nov. 11 as a streaming video viewable through the Xbox Live and the Halo compilation Master Chief Collection.
