PR: Showers of Celluloid This April on Teletoon and the Detour on Teletoon

Family films this April are a bit furry as Tom and Jerry as well as Scooby-Doo star in six TELETOON Presents titles including Aloha Scooby-Doo and Tom & Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers . Also this month audiences have a chance to catch the feature-length Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix and the popular Re-Animated, a mix of live action and animation.

For teens and adults, The Detour on TELETOON adds even more movies to The F’n Good Movie line-up this April as, along with a Friday night movie, film fans can enjoy an extra animated-related film each Sunday night at 10 pm with a sneak-peek showing at 12:30 on Saturday night for audiences that just can’t wait. Movie titles this month include Heavy Metal 2000, Tank Girl and Beetlejuice.

TELETOON Presents in April

Scooby-Doo Central
Saturday is the time for Scooby-Doo with TELETOON Presents bringing great family films starring the greatest of all Great Danes to televisions each Saturday morning at 9 am ET/PT.

April 5 Aloha Scooby-Doo – Scooby and the gang discover that all is not as it seems at surfing competition in Hawaii.

April 12 Scooby-Doo! In Pirates Ahoy! – It is horror on the high seas when Scooby-Doo takes a creepy cruise to the legendary Bermuda Triangle.

April 19 Scooby-Doo and the Legend of the Vampire – Shaggy and Scoob aren’t the only ones out to satisfy their appetites in the Australian Outback as they gang try to escape a rock festival full of vampires.

April 26 Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School – Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy enter a girl’s finishing school and try to avoid being finished-off themselves.

Tom and Jerry Time
The quarrelsome cat and mouse star in two family films this April.
Saturday, April 5 at 5 pm ET/PT Tom & Jerry: The Movie – Tom and Jerry are forced to team up and take on a variety of foes after they are made homeless.
Saturday, April 12 at 5 pm ET/PT Tom & Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers. – Tom and Jerry take part in a swashbuckling pirate adventure.

For those who missed the Canadian premiere in March, Re-Animated airs again on April 19 at 5 pm ET/PT. Combining live-action and cartoons, Re-Animated follows Jimmy Roberts, a twelve-year-old boy who can see cartoon characters in the real world after undergoing a brain transplant.

Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix
There’s another chance to enjoy the activities of the transforming 10-year-old in Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix, the Ben 10 animated movie on April 26 at 5 pm ET/PT. Ben searches for the creator of his alien watch, the Omnitrix, before the powerful device causes catastrophic destruction.

The F’n Good Movie
The The F’n Good Movie bulks-up this month with an extra movie added to the schedule each Sunday night.

Heavy Metal 2000
Featuring an impressive soundtrack and ambitious animation, Heavy Metal 2000 is The F’n Good Movie on Friday, April 4. A sequel to the cult 1981 movie, Heavy Metal, the film follows Julie, a woman set on revenge when her family is murdered by Tyler, a possessed miner. Heavy Metal 2000 stars the voice talents of Billy Idol and B-movie queen Julie Strain and airs 10 pm ET/PT with an encore presentation on Friday night at 1 am and on Saturday, April 5 at 9 :30 pm ET/PT.

Hellboy: Blood & Iron
On April 13 at 10 pm ET/PT, Hellboy takes control of The F’n Good Movie. In Hellboy: Blood and Iron, Hellboy along with Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien tackle a host of supernatural fiends including Hecate, the queen of witches.

Tank Girl
The Detour on TELETOON premiere of Tank Girl airs on on April 11 at 10 pm ET/PT. Set in an arid dystopian future scare on water the film stars Ice-T, Malcolm McDowell and Naomi Watts and is based on the comic drawn by Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of Gorillaz.

Directed by Tim Burton, the kooky Beetlejuice is The F’n Good Movie on April 20. Michael Keaton, Academy Award winner Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin and Winona Ryder star in the black comedy that follows a pair of ghosts trying the exorcise the new owners of their home.

Batman Forever and Batman and Robin
Two nights of Batman come to The Detour on TELETOON beginning with Batman Forever, starring Val Kilmer and Tommy Lee Jones on Friday, April 18 at 10 pm ET/PT. On Sunday, April 27, Batman is joined by Robin and Batgirl in the Joel Schumacher directed Batman and Robin starring George Clooney.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
On April 25 science fiction fans can catch Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, a futuristic, sci-fi thriller, the film features ground-breaking CGI effects and stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Jude Law.
