PR: Get Snowed in with Family Movies and Seasonal Specials

TELETOON is counting down to the holidays all December with daily broadcasts of The Secret World of Santa Claus. Also this month the daytime schedule gets Snowed In with seasonal specials airing back-to-back between December 20 and 25 plus family holiday movies including the broadcast and Canadian premieres of A Dennis the Menace Christmas, The Side Show Christmas and Gotta Catch Santa Claus.

November 28 – December 4

A TELETOON tradition, The Secret World of Santa Claus counts down to Christmas airing every weekday beginning December 1. Tune in at 7:30 am, noon or 7 pm ET/PT to watch Santa Claus, his elves and reindeer prepare for the big day while avoiding the sabotage plots of Gruzzlebeard and Dudley. On Christmas Day, TELETOON broadcasts a marathon of the series with every episode airing between 6 am and 7 pm ET/PT.

December 5 – December 11

TELETOON airs the seasonal special of the ever-popular 6TEEN on Friday, December 5 at 4 pm ET/PT. In 6TEEN: Snow Job a huge snowstorm gives the gang a day off school. At the mall they work-out dates, dresses and possible disasters before the big end of year dance. (Repeats December 10 at 6 pm. December 20 at 3:30 pm and on December 22 at 7:30 pm ET/PT).

12-year-old Trevor sets-out to prove his cynical friends wrong when he goes on a mission to find Santa Claus in the broadcast premiere of Gotta Catch Santa Claus on Friday, December 5 at 5 pm ET/PT. However, it isn’t just Trevor who is out for Santa but also an ice monster named LeFreeze. The animated movie stars William Shatner as Santa. (Repeats December 8 at 6 pm , December 21 at 6 pm and December 22 at 11 am ET/PT).

A modern-take on A Christmas Carol, TELETOON airs the Canadian premiere of A Dennis the Menace Christmas on Saturday December 6 at 9am ET/PT. Dennis tries his best to try and give Mr. Wilson the Christmas Spirit but causes his usual damage. Will an angelic visit save Christmas for the Mitchells, the Wilsons, and everyone else? (Repeats December 6 at 3 pm, December 20 at 7:30 pm, December 23 at 5:30 pm and December 24 at noon ET/PT).

The entire Animaniac clan battles its way across a vast snowy country and outrace the evil King Salazar to reach a magical star in the animated movie Wakko’s Wish on Sunday December 7 at 11am ET/PT. (Repeats December 21 at 11 am and December 24 at 9 am ET/PT)

The contemporary, heart-warming cartoon, Stardust follows the journey of a young orphan boy, along with an elf and an Inuit girl discover the true meaning of family while embarking on a trip to the find the magical powder that powers Santa’s sleigh. Stardust airs on Tuesday December 9 at 6 pm. (Repeats December 23 at 2:30 and 8:30 pm)

December 12 – December 18

Friends learn what it is to be truly generous in The Side Show Christmas which has its broadcast premiere on Friday, December 12at 5 pm ET/PT. Sandwell Shanks, the owner of The Most Unbelievable Show On Earth, hypnotizes Santa, turning him into the star of a wildly popular Side Show attraction and threatening Christmas. It is up to Sandwell’s son Jason, with a little help from his friends at the Side Show and North Pole, to save Christmas and his father’s beloved business. (RepeatsDecember 16 at 6 pm and December 22 at 7 am and 8:30 pm ET/PT)

Daffy Duck, the Scrooge-like proprietor of the Lucky Duck Megamart, gets a lesson in holiday good-will when he is visited by Bugs Bunny and the ghosts of Christmas past (Tweety and Granny), present (Yosemite Sam) and future (Taz) in Bah Humduck! A Looney Christmas.The Looney Tunes special airs on December 12 at 4 pm. (Repeats Dec 13 at 7:30 pm, December 21 at 7 pm and December 24 at 8:30 pm ET/PT).

On Saturday December 13 the TELETOON premiere of Jack Frost, starring Michael Keaton airs at 3 pm ET/PT. When Jack, a busy musician dies in a car accident his son mourns but is cheered up when his father returns as a magical snowman. The two make up for the time they missed together while Jack was alive but are faced with the threat of loss once again as the weather gets warmer. (Repeats December 14 at 11 am, December 19 at 4 pm, December 22 at noon and December 25 at 7 pm ET/PT).

Tom & Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale stars the furry foes in a wonderland full of holiday magic all set to the music of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker”. The animated special airs on Saturday, December 13 at 9 am ET/PT. (Repeats December 21 at 8 pm and December 23 at 9 am ET/PT).

December 19 – December 25

From 6 am to 9 pm ET/PT from December 20 to December 25 the TELETOON Daytime schedule is Snowed In with back-to-back seasonal specials. Shows including Wayside, Ricky Sprocket, Atomic Betty and more all gift viewers with holiday editions.

In the Fat Albert Christmas Special on Saturday, December 20 at 4:30 pm ET/PT Tyrone, owner of the land where the junkyard Clubhouse sits, threatens to demolish the shack. The Cosby kids, while working on a Christmas pageant, find a small boy whose jobless father and pregnant mother are stranded without a home on Christmas Eve. (Repeats Dec 21 at 9:30 am, Dec 22 at 10:30 am ET/PT).

On Sunday, December 21 at 8:30 am ET/PT Marie enters a magical kingdom to meet the Nutcracker Prince and is enlisted to overthrow the evil Mouse King and save Christmas in The Nuttiest Nutcracker. The movie stars Cheech Marin, Jim Belushi and Phyllis Diller. (Repeats December 23 at 1:30 pm and December 24 at 2:30 pm ET/PT).

December 26 – January 1

On Friday, December 26 TELETOON presents back to back movies beginning at 9 am ET/PT.

Anastasia kicks-off the day of movies at 9 am on December 26. A young girl heads from Russia to Paris, hoping to learn if she really is the long lost princess Anastasia, only to find unexpected love complicating matters of identity.

At 10:30 am ET/PT Daffy, Porky, Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote and the whole Looney Tunes gang join Bugs in The Bugs Bunny, Road Runner Movie.

The Looney Tunes laughs continue at noon with Tweety’s High Flying Adventures and Bugs Bunny’s 1001 Rabbit Tales at 1:30 pm ET/PT.

At 3 pm ET/PT viewers have a chance to catch the first, feature-length episode of The Secret Saturdays and The Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie rounds-off the movie selection at 4 pm ET/PT.
