PR: Get Ready for the Spring Break Show-Down & TWF Season Finale

(February 28, 2007 – Toronto , Canada ) This March Break YTV characters go head-to-head and thumb-to-thumb with the Spring Break Show-down and Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF season finale.

From Monday, March 12 to Friday, March 16, the power of the airwaves is being put into the hands of the viewers, with daily back-to-back show-downs between two series at 6 p.m. each day. Viewers can go online to YTV.com to vote for their favourite of the two shows, with the winning program running for an entire hour the following day at 4 p.m. The overall champion will have four episodes air back-to-back in The Zone on Friday, March 16 at 4 p.m.

Who are the eight contestants in the running? It’s going to be a close call as SpongeBob SquarePants, Viva Pinata, Drake & Josh and The Fairly OddParents compete for a spot in the semifinals. As well, Danny Phantom, Ruby Gloom, Fantastic Four and Avatar will also throw it down at the show-down!

How could a Spring Break Show-down be complete without a championship thumb wrestling match? Capping off March Break will be the final chapter of this season’s match between the cunning Dexteras and the sinister Sinistras. Join YTV at 6 p.m. (r) at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16 to see who will be the hands-down winner!

YTV kicks off the Spring Break Show-down with the Canadian premiere of Tony Hawk: Boom Boom Sabotage on Monday, March 12 at 4 p.m. in The Zone. This revolutionary 3D, CG and motion capture film is sure to make you feel you’re in the action with the Huck Jam competitors themselves! At the latest Huck Jam demonstration, Tony is confronted by the evil ringmaster Grimley and his army of carneys as they prepare for their skate show. The mayor is not willing to allow both shows to go on and so the evil Grimley and his carney partners try to sabotage the town’s local skate crew.
