Doctor Geof Gets MCM Buzzing with new comic launch
Fresh from his extended exhibition under Cutty Sark in London, artist and comic creator Doctor Geof has landed at October’s MCM London Comic Con with a brand new buzzing comic.
Known for his unique view on everything from tea to badgers, Doctor Geof’s Complete and Totally Scientific Analysis of Bees treats us to explorations such as the ‘anatomy of a bee’ and ‘who would win in a fight between a rabbit and a bee?’.
This new comic from Doctor Geof, aka Geof Banyard PhD, who created the Fetishman comic and the award-winning Steampunk Literary Review, will form part of a new comic series and the first issue will be available to MCM visitors on his Island of Doctor Geof stand 571 in the North Hall.
His recognisable pitch will also feature his newest art print – Defence from Devil-Fish, which was specially commissioned by Cutty Sark for his recent Tea Museum exhibition held underneath the iconic vessel. The A1 print is a homage to Victorian information leaflets and publications and details how to protect against a kraken-like sea monster.
Doctor Geof, said: “MCM is the perfect place to launch my new comic series. I’ve been exhibiting here for a number of years and the support from visitors is truly magnificent. I always try and bring something new to MCM events and look forward to spreading the word on bees and swapping defence techniques with people who come along to the stand.”
MCM London Comic Con is at ExCel in London Docklands from 24-26 October.
